Help me pick an outfit!

We have an event to attend Friday night at the company my husband retired from. The dress is casual but no jeans. It is a strictly on your feet event. Complete with balancing your plate and drink. I want to look put together and be comfortable. I tripped over the dog last night and one of feet is slightly swollen. So comfortable shoes are a must.

Here are two outfits that I put together this evening. My husband likes one more than the other but before I reveal which one I want your opinions.

I have other options if these don't work.

Outfit 1
B/R pants
Karen Kane top
Michael Kors Bag
Animal Print Shoes

Outfit 2
AT Dress
Strappy Sandals
Besty Johnson Bag

Thanks for looking!

Both outfits look lovely but for some reason, maybe because you have said the dress code is more casual, I am leaning towards #1. I think pants will be good and the cross body bag brilliant for standing and eating.

I think outfit No. 1 strikes just the right chord. The lace is on trend, the silhouette is simple, and the animal print is just as fab as you are, Debbie. Just the right amount of style and sass.

Debbie, I'm leaning toward #1 too. I hope your foot is feeling better soon! (Tripping over the dog is something I can sure relate to.) BTW I can't resist adding that the shoes in #1 are adorable, & they look comfortable unless you wear them the way they're laid out in the photo ;-)

I vote for #1 since the event is a standing event. Classy and casually dressy. :)

Another vote for #1! Perfect. Elegantly relaxed and on trend.

#1 for me too - but only because you said more casual.

I like #2. Sorry to be the odd duck out! Both are fab, of course. (-:

Thanks everyone. I am going to wear outfit number 1. It is also the one my husband likes but right now my foot is so swollen. I couldn't wear the strappy sandals with I wanted too.

Oh no! What happened to your foot?

    (((HUGS))).

Thank I tripped over the dog and and my foot hit a table. It will be fine in a few days.

please take care of your feet! I too agree one will be occassion appropriate and chic.

Love #1! You'll look glam even with a dog-busted foot.

I'm going to guess your husband likes #1 (LOVE those shoes!!!), but I vote #2 (because of that bag!!) ;)

  • JAileen replied 11 years ago

I like #2 mainly because of the cool purse.

Gorgeous choices Debbie, how could you go wrong in either. Sorry to hear about your foot. I hope that it doesn't throb at the event.

Can we please see #2 in a WIW soon, it is divine.
